The groundbreaking extension with the English Football Association (FA) will see ESPN+ streaming all 79 matches of the Emirates FA Cup each season in the United States, along with coverage of the FA Community Shield.

The FA Cup, with its rich history dating back to 1871-72, features teams from various levels of English football, showcasing the diversity and inclusivity of the tournament. With approximately 700 teams competing for the prestigious cup each season, the FA Cup is a symbol of tradition and passion in the soccer world.

Tim Bunnell, ESPN’s SVP of Programming and Acquisition, expressed his excitement about continuing to provide fans with access to top European cup competitions and domestic leagues through ESPN+. The platform’s commitment to delivering compelling soccer content has been reinforced by this extended partnership with the FA.

FA Cup Commercial Director, James Gray, also shared his excitement for the growing interest in soccer in the U.S. and the upcoming FIFA World Cup in North America. He praised ESPN as a trusted partner and looked forward to sharing the unique stories of the FA Cup with American audiences until 2028.

In addition to the FA Cup, ESPN+ offers a wide range of soccer content, including matches from the National Women’s Soccer League, United Soccer League, and NCAA college championships. With top European leagues like LaLiga, Bundesliga, and Eredivisie also featured on the platform, ESPN+ is a comprehensive destination for soccer enthusiasts.
