Updates on Russia’s Fresh Attacks on Border Areas: Ukrainian Forces Hold Strong

In the latest developments from the battlefield, Russian forces have launched fresh attacks in the border area, intensifying the conflict with Ukrainian troops. Across various fronts, the aggression continues unabated, with multiple attempts to breach Ukrainian defences.

In the northeast, Russian troops assaulted Ukrainian positions on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts several times, while in central eastern areas, there were numerous attacks across the Sivershchyna, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Vremivka, and Kuakhove fronts. Additionally, Russian soldiers persist in their efforts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from the Dnipro River’s east bank.

Reports from governors in key Ukrainian regions on the frontline paint a grim picture of the situation. In Kharkiv, rocket fire struck a five-storey building, a farm, and a doctor’s surgery, resulting in casualties and injuries. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled multiple Russian attacks from the border area, where a fresh incursion was launched recently.

Elsewhere, in Kherson, residential areas including high-rise buildings, houses, a nursery, and medical institutions were targeted, leaving several people injured. In Dnipropetrovsk, Russian artillery shelling in the Nikopol region caused significant damage, although there were no reported casualties. In Donetsk, attacks in various areas resulted in casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure.

The onslaught extended to Zaporizhzhia as well, with Russian forces targeting the area near Robotyne multiple times. Despite the attacks, Ukrainian positions remained secure. The escalating violence underscores the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict to prevent further loss of life and destruction in the region.
