Singer Sean Kingston Arrested in California Following Police Raid on Florida Mansion
Renowned singer Sean Kingston has found himself in legal trouble after being arrested in California, mere hours after a police raid on his Florida mansion, which also led to the arrest of his mother.
The trouble began when Mr. Kingston was accused by a company in February of not fully paying for a massive TV and sound system. This resulted in a Florida warrant being issued for his arrest on fraud and theft charges, leading to his apprehension in Fort Irwin, southern California.
According to US media reports, the initial police raid in Florida targeted a residence near Fort Lauderdale where the singer, legally known as Kisean Anderson, was said to be residing in court documents from February. The woman arrested during the raid was reportedly Mr. Kingston’s mother.
Confirming the raid, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office revealed that an adult female, identified as Janice Turner, was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges. The investigation is still ongoing, and officers were seen removing goods from the house after the arrests.
Following his arrest in California, Mr. Kingston assured on social media that his lawyers were handling the situation. His mother, known as Mama Kingston on Instagram, is also involved in the legal proceedings and both parties have been contacted for a response.
In court documents, it was revealed that a company, Ver Ver Entertainment, accused Mr. Kingston of inducing them to install the TV and sound system with false representations, leading to a breach of contract and fraud lawsuit against the singer.
Despite the legal challenges, Mr. Kingston remains a popular figure in the music industry, known for hits like Beautiful Girls, Fire Burning, and a collaboration with Justin Bieber on the track Eenie Meenie. The case continues to unfold as authorities investigate the allegations made against the singer and his mother.
