Meet Sumanpreet Kaur Brar: Living Water Resort Manager and Georgian College Instructor from Collingwood

Sumanpreet Kaur Brar, a 26-year-old member services manager at Living Water Resort and instructor at Georgian College, has a story that is truly inspiring. Originally from the northern part of India, in Punjab, Kaur Brar made a bold decision at the age of 18 to pursue a new life in Canada.

In a recent interview for People of Collingwood, Kaur Brar shared her journey of leaving her comfort zone in India to study hospitality in Canada. She chose Georgian College South Georgian Bay because of its location and the opportunity to learn in a town surrounded by natural beauty. Despite the initial shock of adjusting to a new culture and lifestyle, Kaur Brar quickly adapted and excelled in her studies.

After completing her hospitality program, Kaur Brar landed a job at Living Water Resort, where she worked her way up to the position of member services manager. She also teaches front desk courses at Georgian College, where she aims to inspire students with her own experience of growth and success in a new country.
