Wiz Khalifa Speaks Out About His Drug Arrest in Romania

Wiz Khalifa Arrested in Romania for Drug Possession

Wiz Khalifa, the popular rapper, found himself in hot water after being arrested in Romania for illegal drug possession at the “Beach, Please!” festival in Costinesti. Romanian authorities claimed that Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, was caught smoking cannabis on stage and was found in possession of over 18 grams of cannabis, considered a “risk drug” in Romania.

Despite the arrest, Khalifa took to social media to address the situation, stating that he did not mean any disrespect to the country and that they were respectful in handling the situation. However, he acknowledged his mistake and promised not to repeat it in the future.

This is not the first time Khalifa has faced drug-related charges, as he was previously arrested in 2010 on drug charges in North Carolina. The rapper has been open about his marijuana use in the past, even joking about attending parent-teacher conferences for his son, Sebastian, while “pulled up stoned.”

Khalifa’s recent arrest serves as a reminder of the consequences of drug possession in different countries, as possession of a “risk drug” in Romania can carry a punishment of up to ten years in prison. Despite his legal troubles, Khalifa remains a popular figure in the music industry and continues to perform around the world.
