Katy Perry Reveals Angelic Inspiration Behind New Album “143”
Pop superstar Katy Perry is set to make a triumphant return to the music industry with her upcoming album titled “143”. The singer, who recently became a mother and bid farewell to her role as a judge on American Idol, shared the unexpected reason behind the album’s unique name.
According to Perry, the numbers 143 hold a special significance for her, as they started appearing during some of her toughest moments. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she explained, “I don’t know about you, but 143 for me is a message from my angels. It means I love you in some digital language, but it’s a symbol that I get and have received in some of my hardest moments.”
The first single from the album, “Woman’s World”, was released alongside a striking music video that celebrates the divine feminine. The video features a cameo from online sensation Trisha Paytas and sees Perry embodying both Rosie the Riveter and a bionic woman.
Reflecting on the empowering message of the song, Perry stated, “It’s a woman’s world and you’re lucky to be living in it, meaning us ladies are so full of love and light and we love you and we are soft, we are strong, we are chaos, we are cool we are feminine divine.”
Fans can expect the full album to drop on September 20, just a month before Perry’s 40th birthday. The singer, known for hits like “I Kissed A Girl” and “Roar”, has achieved multiple number one singles and albums in the UK throughout her career.
Perry’s last album, “Smile”, was released in 2020 around the same time she welcomed her daughter Daisy Dove with partner Orlando Bloom. Now, with “143” on the horizon, Perry is gearing up to deliver a new musical chapter filled with angelic inspiration and powerful messages of love.
