Terra Madre Americas Food Conference to be Hosted in Sacramento

Sacramento hosts Terra Madre Americas food conference

The city of Sacramento is hosting a first-of-its-kind food conference called Terra Madre Americas, which kicked off on Friday at the Memorial Auditorium. This three-day event features food producers, scientists, creators, and researchers, all coming together to celebrate food and its connection to the environment and people.

Hosted by Visit Sacramento and Slow Food, Terra Madre Americas aims to ensure good and clean food for all, mirroring the Italian tradition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto food conference. The event includes themed sections like the Slow Food Coffee Coalition, Slow Wine Coalition, Biocultural Territories of Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Food and Health Educational Area.

With tickets to the event being free and additional ticketed experiences available, Terra Madre Americas is a unique opportunity for food enthusiasts to learn, connect, and celebrate the importance of food in our daily lives.
