Macy Gray Reveals Feud with Tyler Posey on ‘The Surreal Life’

The upcoming season of MTV’s ‘Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets’ is sure to bring the drama, especially between Macy Gray and Tyler Posey. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Gray, 56, confessed that tensions ran high between her and Posey, 32, on multiple occasions during filming.

Gray admitted that she wasn’t prepared for the emotional depth that some of her castmates delved into, which led to clashes with Posey. “I just wasn’t really in that headspace when everybody else was I guess. A lot of times, they would set us up to get all emotional and maybe disagree a little bit. Me and Tyler went at it a couple of times actually,” she shared.

This was Gray’s first foray into reality TV, and she found it challenging to connect with Posey, who was more open and forthcoming with his emotions. “Tyler is very open so he’s always ready to get deep and stuff. Sometimes, I’m just not up for it,” Gray explained.

Despite the tension with Posey, Gray had positive things to say about her experience on the show. She admitted that living with roommates again after many years was an adjustment but ultimately, she grew to appreciate everyone on the cast, including Kim Zolciak, whom she already admired from ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

While Posey may have clashed with Gray, singer Ally Brooke shared a different experience, revealing that she became good friends with him during filming. Viewers can expect to see the dynamics unfold when ‘Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets’ premieres on Tuesday, July 23 at 9 p.m. ET.

Even though there were disagreements and tensions, Gray expressed that she came away from the experience with love for all her castmates. Despite the challenges, the show promises to deliver entertaining and engaging moments for viewers to enjoy.
