SRO Motorsports Heads to Austin for GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS

SRO Motorsports Revs Up in Austin for GT World Challenge America Rounds

The excitement is building in Austin, Texas as SRO Motorsports rolls into town for the fifth and sixth rounds of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS. The elite teams from five different series are gearing up to compete once again after a thrilling showdown at Sebring just two weeks ago.

One of the most highly anticipated additions to the field is the No. 63 DXDT Racing Corvette driven by Tommy Milner and Alec Udell in the Pro class. Milner, a newcomer to the SRO scene, expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge ahead.

“In many ways, there is a lot of new for me in racing for DXDT Racing,” Milner said. “It’s a new series for me, a new team, but there are also familiarities with the Corvette and the support from Corvette Racing.”

Milner will be teaming up with Udell, a former World Challenge America Am champion, for the first time, adding an extra layer of excitement to the weekend’s races. The team is looking to build on the success of the new Corvette, which secured its first podium at Laguna Seca last weekend.

In the Pro series standings, the No. 120 Wright Motorsports team of Elliott Skeer and Adam Adelson currently leads after strong showings at Sebring. However, the competition is fierce, with the ST Racing team of Varun Choksey and Bill Auberlen hot on their heels.

Meanwhile, in the Pro-Am class, the duo of Colin Braun and George Kurtz are holding onto the top spot in the points standings. ST Racing’s Neil Verhagen and Samantha Tan are not far behind, poised to make a move for the lead.

With 16 cars on the entry list for the weekend’s races, fans can expect plenty of action on the track. The races will be live-streamed on the SRO Motorsports YouTube channel and Twitch, giving fans around the world a front-row seat to all the adrenaline-pumping moments.

The schedule for the weekend will follow a familiar format, with today serving as a practice day, followed by qualifying and the first race on Saturday. The excitement will continue to build on Sunday with the final races for each series, starting at 11:50 a.m.
