Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition 2024 Competitors Announced in Budapest
The Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition has just announced the list of competitors for its 2024 edition, set to take place in Budapest, Hungary from 4 to 14 July 2024. The competition will feature two age groups of violinists under 15 years old and those between the ages of 15 and 22.
After the competition, contestants will have the opportunity to attend the rehearsals and concerts of the 9th Festival Academy Budapest 2024, an international chamber music festival hosted by Katalin Kokas and Barnabás Kelemen.
The international jury, chaired by renowned violinist Shlomo Mintz, a former student of the competition’s namesake Ilona Fehér, will judge the contestants. In addition to the competition, masterclasses led by jury members will be an integral part of the event. The jury for this year’s competition includes esteemed violinists and music educators such as Alissa Margulis, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, and András Keller.
The list of competitors for the two age groups includes talented violinists from around the world, each vying for the top honors at the prestigious competition.
