Barcelona International Community Day: A Meeting for International Residents and Businesses in Barcelona’s Maritime Museum

Barcelona is gearing up for its annual International Community Day, set to take place on Saturday, September 28 at the city’s Maritime Museum. The event serves as a platform for the international community to discover what Barcelona has to offer in terms of services, products, and initiatives for those living and working in the city.

Mario Robert, the director of international promotion for the city council, expressed the importance of showcasing Barcelona as a welcoming city for expats and newcomers. With more than 60 activities, 90 speakers, and nearly 80 exhibiting companies and entities, this year’s event promises to be informative and engaging for attendees.

One of the key points emphasized during the event’s presentation was the role of the international community in Barcelona’s growth and development. Deputy mayor Jordi Valls highlighted the significant increase in the city’s foreign population over the past two decades and stressed the importance of integration and inclusivity.

In addition to the array of activities and speakers, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a boat tour of Barcelona’s harbor, courtesy of Las Golondrinas. The tour will showcase the upcoming America’s Cup regatta, scheduled to take place from August 22 to late October, offering visitors a sneak peek at the team’s operation centers and prime viewing locations for the competition.
