Taylor Casey, a 41-year-old woman from Chicago, has been missing for nearly a week after attending a yoga retreat on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The Royal Bahamas Police Force reported that Casey was last seen on June 19 in the area of Paradise Island, sparking a frantic search effort.

Casey’s family expressed deep concern for her safety, stating that she disappeared while attending a yoga retreat and would never voluntarily vanish. Her mother, Colette Seymore, described Casey as eager to share her yoga retreat experience upon her return, making her sudden disappearance all the more alarming.

The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat Bahamas, where Casey was attending a yoga certification program, confirmed that she failed to attend classes on the morning of June 20. The organization reported her last sighting at the retreat on the evening of June 19 and has been cooperating with authorities in the investigation.

Described as a light-skinned Black woman standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds, Casey has brown hair and eyes, with natural hair often covered by a durag. The family urged anyone with information on Casey’s whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing their deep concern for her safety and well-being.

The U.S. Embassy and State Department are also involved in the search efforts, with the Department of State prioritizing the welfare and safety of U.S. citizens abroad. As the search for Taylor Casey continues, her family remains hopeful for her safe return home.
