Nikkhil Advani on releasing ‘Vedaa’ with ‘Stree 2’: It just gobbled us up – Hindustan Times
Director Nikkhil Advani recently opened up about the decision to release his upcoming film ‘Vedaa’ alongside the highly anticipated sequel ‘Stree 2’. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Advani revealed that the decision was not an easy one, but ultimately, ‘Stree 2’ was a force to be reckoned with.
“It just gobbled us up,” Advani said with a chuckle. “The success and buzz surrounding ‘Stree’ was undeniable, and we knew that releasing our film alongside it would be a challenge. But at the same time, we believe in the strength of our project and wanted to give it the best possible platform.”
Despite the tough competition, Advani remains confident in the unique appeal of ‘Vedaa’. The film stars an ensemble cast including Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Neena Gupta, and promises to be a thrilling ride for audiences.
“We have put our heart and soul into this project, and we believe that it has the potential to stand out on its own merits,” Advani said. “Of course, ‘Stree 2’ is a juggernaut in its own right, but we are ready to face the challenge head-on.”
Fans can look forward to a double treat at the box office as both ‘Vedaa’ and ‘Stree 2’ are set to hit theaters on the same day. It will be interesting to see how both films fare against each other and whether ‘Vedaa’ can carve out its own space amidst the ‘Stree’ frenzy.
