**Top U.S. Cities Where Women Aged 15-50 Have the Highest Birth Rates**

The U.S. Census Bureau has released data ranking cities based on the percentage of women aged 15 to 50 who gave birth in 2022. According to the report, Indianapolis, IN takes the lead with a 6.5% birth rate among women in that age group.

In Indianapolis, the average family size in 2022 was 3.12, with 14,482 women out of 222,497 aged 15 to 50 giving birth in that year. This marked an increase from the previous year, where the birth rate was 5.8%.

Following closely behind, Dallas, TX and Las Vegas, NV had birth rates of 6.3% and 6.1% respectively. Fresno, CA and El Paso, TX also reported relatively high birth rates of 5.9% each.

On the other end of the spectrum, Seattle, WA had the lowest birth rate among the 10 major U.S. cities listed, with only 2.6% of women aged 15 to 50 giving birth in 2022. Milwaukee, WI and Boston, MA followed with birth rates of 3.2% and 3.4% respectively.

The data was compiled by SmartAsset, which reviewed Census Bureau data for 2022 and 2021 to determine the birth rates. The analysis also considered average family size in each city.

These findings shed light on the varying birth rates across different cities in the U.S. and highlight the demographic trends related to childbirth in these urban areas.
