Heading: San Gabriel Valley Tribune – Best Hospitals in the Nation
Two San Gabriel Valley hospitals, Huntington Health Medical Center-Pasadena and Baldwin Park Medical Center, have been named among the nation’s best hospitals, according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals analysis.
Both hospitals were recognized as top 25 hospitals in the Los Angeles region, with a high performing distinction for being in the top 10% to 20% for at least one or more of 35 specialties, conditions, and procedures.
The rankings were calculated based on risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and level of nursing care. Michelle Gaskill-Hames, regional president of Kaiser Permanente Southern California and Hawaii, Health Plan and Hospitals, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “These results confirm our commitment to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to our patients.”
