Northwestern Medicine-Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago have once again proven their excellence in healthcare by being named among the 20 best hospitals in the country according to the latest rankings from U.S. News and World Report.
The prestigious report, which evaluates hospitals based on patient outcomes as well as other important factors such as quality of experience and staffing, released its list for 2024-2025 this week. Highlighted as the “Honor Roll,” the top 20 hospitals in the nation represent the best of the best in healthcare.
Northwestern Memorial Hospital earned its spot on the list thanks to its high performance in adult specialties such as Cancer, Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and more. Meanwhile, Rush University Medical Center also received recognition for its excellence in specialties like Neurology and Orthopedics.
Both Chicago hospitals were the only ones in Illinois to make the honor roll, further solidifying their reputation as leaders in the healthcare industry. In the state rankings, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Rush University Medical Center tied for the No. 1 spot, followed by other notable hospitals in Illinois including the University of Chicago Medical Center and Advocate Christ Medical Center.
