“97 MSG hosts sports day promoting fitness and fun”
On a sunny Saturday morning, the 97th Maintenance Squadron (97 MSG) at Altus Air Force Base hosted a sports day filled with fitness and fun for all its members. From early morning until late afternoon, a variety of activities were planned to encourage camaraderie and physical activity among the squadron.
The day kicked off with a group warm-up session led by fitness instructors, getting everyone ready for the challenges ahead. Teams were formed and competitions were held in various sports such as volleyball, soccer, and tug-of-war. The competitive spirit was high as members cheered on their teammates and pushed themselves to give their best performance.
In addition to the organized sports, there were also recreational activities such as cornhole and frisbee for those who wanted a more laid-back way to enjoy the day. A barbecue lunch was provided for all participants, fueling them up for the rest of the day’s activities.
“It’s important for us to not only focus on our mission at work, but also to take the time to bond outside of the workplace,” said Staff Sergeant Johnson, one of the event organizers. “Events like these help build morale and strengthen our relationships as a team.”
The sports day was a huge success, with many members expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to come together and have some fun. It was a reminder that staying active and healthy doesn’t have to be a chore, but can be an enjoyable way to connect with colleagues and build a strong community within the squadron.
As the sun began to set and the day came to a close, tired but happy faces could be seen all around. The 97 MSG sports day was a reminder that fitness and fun can go hand in hand, and that coming together as a team can lead to both physical and mental well-being.
