The star-studded live video call event titled “White Dudes for Harris” garnered an impressive $4 million in donations for U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Organized by Ross Morales Rocketto, founder of “Run for Something,” the call aimed to rally white men to support Harris in the upcoming presidential election against Republican rival Donald Trump. Guest speakers during the call included Mitch Landrieu, a Harris campaign co-chair, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, actor Jeff Bridges, and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, among others. Notable pledges to match donations were made by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and filmmaker J.J. Abrams, sparking over 60,000 individual contributions. The call was part of a series of successful video calls for Harris, with previous events drawing large audiences and raising millions of dollars.
