Vivo Y200i Debuts in China: Sporting a Robust 6,000mAh Battery, Advanced Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Chipset, and a Smooth 120Hz Screen

Today marks the unveiling of Vivo’s latest smartphone, the Y200i, in China. As the anticipated successor to the Y100i, this model introduces a refreshed design and significant upgrades, featuring a powerful 6,000mAh battery, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, and a high-refresh-rate display, all engineered to enhance the mobile experience.

Vivo’s Y200i makes a statement with its sleek, flat frame that incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated within the power button, presenting a modern aesthetic. The rear panel is adorned with a textured finish and a distinctive circular camera setup, while ensuring durability with IP64 dust and water resistance.

The front of the Y200i boasts a 6.72-inch LCD screen, delivering vivid visuals with its FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for seamless scrolling. It reaches a peak brightness of 1,800 nits, suitable for any lighting condition. The device also includes an 8MP front-facing camera, neatly housed in a central punch-hole design.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Y200i’s camera capabilities, featuring a 50MP main sensor coupled with a 2MP portrait lens for capturing sharp and detailed images.

Performance is robust, thanks to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. The Y200i supports up to 12GB of RAM and an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, coupled with options of up to 512GB of internal storage. It’s powered by a durable 6,000mAh battery, supporting 44W fast charging, ensuring that users stay connected longer.

Running on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14, the Y200i offers a smooth and responsive user interface. It is available in three colors: Blue, Glacier White, and Midnight Black. The smartphone is competitively priced, starting at approximately $225 for the base model, with pre-orders already underway. Sales are set to begin on April 27, promising to make a significant impact in the market.
