Tornado Devastation in Bartlesville and Barnsdall – School Closures Due to Severe Weather

Following the aftermath of a tornado that struck Bartlesville and Barnsdall, severe damages have been reported, leading to the closure of schools in the area.

Dewey Track had an exceptional weekend at the 4A state track meet, with six students qualifying for the competition. Braden Garrison emerged as the star of the event, clinching the state championship in shot put for the second consecutive year. However, what set this victory apart was Garrison’s remarkable throw, shattering a 45-year-old Oklahoma record with a throw of 64 feet 4.75 inches. Coach Dan Close expressed his pride in the team, highlighting Cameron Jones’s achievement in breaking the school’s high jump record. While Garrison was the sole state champion from Dewey, the other five athletes represented the school admirably. Congratulations poured in for Dewey Track and Braden Garrison on their outstanding performances.
