“The Judge” Starring Robert Downey Jr. Claims Top Spot on Netflix’s Most-Watched List

Robert Downey Jr.’s gripping legal drama, “The Judge,” has surged to the top of Netflix’s most-watched list, captivating audiences with its intense storyline and stellar performances.

Despite a wave of new releases in May, “The Judge” has clinched the #1 spot on Netflix’s most-watched movies in the U.S. The 10-year-old legal drama, once overlooked, is now experiencing a resurgence on the streaming platform since its arrival on May 1.

Directed by David Dobkin, known for “Wedding Crashers,” the film stars Downey Jr. as Hank Palmer, a brilliant yet morally ambiguous attorney who returns to his Indiana hometown after his mother’s death. Reuniting with his brothers Dale and Glen, played by Jeremy Strong and Vincent D’Onofrio respectively, Hank’s return home also brings him face to face with his estranged father, Judge Joseph Palmer, portrayed by Robert Duvall.

“The Judge” garnered attention with Duvall’s Oscar-nominated performance for Best Supporting Actor. While the film received mixed reviews from critics, with a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, audiences have been more generous, giving it a 73% score. Viewers have been praising the film’s captivating storyline and the powerful performances of Downey Jr. and Duvall.
