Motown legend Smokey Robinson has been accused of sexual assault by four former housekeepers in a $50 million lawsuit filed in Los Angeles. The complaint includes allegations of sexual battery, false imprisonment, negligence, and gender violence. The women, referred to as Jane Does 1-4, claim they were sexually assaulted in various locations within Robinson’s homes, with one alleging a rape incident, while also facing labor violations such as unpaid minimum wage and overtime. The lawsuit also names Robinson’s wife, Frances, alleging she contributed to a hostile work environment and failed to prevent the assaults. No criminal charges have been filed against Robinson.
