Former NFL player and podcaster Shannon Sharpe has been sued for sexual assault and battery by an anonymous woman, known as “Jane Doe,” who claims the incidents occurred during a nearly two-year consensual relationship. The lawsuit alleges that Sharpe violently assaulted her in October 2024 and January 2025, despite her objections. Sharpe’s legal team has denied the allegations, calling them an attempt to extort money from him, and maintains that the relationship was consensual. The lawsuit seeks over $50 million in damages. Sharpe, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, is known for his successful career with the Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens.
