Sarah Michelle Gellar Won’t Be Returning for I Know What You Did Last Summer Sequel, Confirms Us Weekly

Sarah Michelle Gellar has decided not to reprise her role in the upcoming sequel to the hit 1997 horror film “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” The actress, who played the character of Helen Shivers in the original film, confirmed the news in an interview with Us Weekly.

Gellar explained that while she has fond memories of filming the first movie, she felt it was time to move on from the franchise. “I had an amazing experience working on ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer,’ but I feel like it’s time to explore new opportunities and challenge myself in different roles,” she said.
