Lowe’s announced that it will close all 1,700 of its stores and contact centers for 24 hours on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. This closure is to express appreciation for its 300,000 employees and their dedication to customer service. CEO Marvin Ellison mentioned the importance of giving staff a well-deserved day off to spend time with their families. Lowe’s has previously closed on Easter for the last four years, following the trend of other major retailers. Customers can still shop online at Lowes.com or visit Home Depot, which will remain open.
