Kendrick Lamar reignites Drake feud in ‘Not Like Us’ music video

Kendrick Lamar Releases New Music Video “Not Like Us” in Ongoing Drake Diss Battle

Kendrick Lamar has unleashed his latest diss track against Drake, marking U.S. Independence Day with the release of a music video for “Not Like Us.” In the video, Lamar takes pointed shots at the Toronto rapper, incorporating owl motifs that reference Drake’s circle of friends and their fashion brand October’s Very Own.

The video features Lamar smashing a piƱata shaped like an owl and includes nods to past Drake visuals, such as scenes from the “Family Matters” and “Toosie Slide” music videos. Notable California names, including former Toronto Raptors all-star DeMar DeRozan and producer Mustard, also make appearances in the video, taking subtle jabs at Toronto.

Additionally, the video attempts to dispel claims made by Drake in previous diss tracks, with appearances by Lamar’s partner Whitney Alford and music video creator Dave Free. The long-standing feud between the two hip-hop superstars reached a boiling point this spring, leading to a temporary ceasefire after a security guard outside Drake’s home was injured in a shooting.

Despite the brief hiatus, Lamar took a victory lap on Juneteenth with a three-hour concert in Los Angeles, where he performed “Not Like Us” multiple times. The ongoing feud between Lamar and Drake continues to captivate audiences, with fans eagerly anticipating the next move in this high-stakes musical battle.
