Direct Flights to Abu Dhabi from Coimbatore by IndiGo: Booking Open for New Service

The Coimbatore International Airport is set to expand its international connectivity with the introduction of direct flights to Abu Dhabi by IndiGo starting from August 10. This new service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, marking the first international service by IndiGo from Coimbatore.

The flight from Abu Dhabi to Coimbatore, with the flight number 6E 1498, is scheduled to depart from the UAE capital at 00.40 hours and arrive in Coimbatore at 06.25 hours. The return flight, 6E 1497, will depart from Coimbatore at 7.40 a.m. and reach Abu Dhabi at 10 a.m.

With this new service, Coimbatore will now have direct connectivity to two destinations in the UAE, including Sharjah served by Air Arabia. Additionally, Scoot’s direct flight between Coimbatore and Singapore adds to the international services available at the airport.

Industry leaders and aviation enthusiasts in the region have welcomed this development, emphasizing the potential for further connectivity to destinations like Doha, Sri Lanka, Dubai, and even a second service to Singapore. Efforts are also underway to facilitate transit services and expand connectivity to other regions, such as the US and Europe, from Coimbatore.
