Mecca: The arrival of over 10 million pilgrims was recorded at Baitullah Sharif’s Masjid al-Haram in this Hijri year.
Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, head of the organization responsible for monitoring Haram Sharif affairs, revealed that more than 100 million people have been recorded at the Haram Mosque in Baitullah Sharif since early 1444.
The number of people praying near Hajar Ismail has exceeded 11 lakh 93,000 this year. According to statistics, more than 15 lakh visitors have been served during the year for transportation services.
Dr. Al-Sadis went on to say that more than 50 vehicles have been allocated only to the elderly and people with special needs to provide better facilities for the elderly and disabled at the Prophet’s Mosque. In 2023, the number of volunteers is increasing in both holy mosques. An electronic procurement service will be provided to provide transportation services to people in need, and the provision of an electronic tawaf service will also be possible at the Masjid al-Haram.
