ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) reserved its decision at the request of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for a 96 percent increase in the average gas price from July 1 of this financial year.
According to the details, Sui Southern’s application was asked to set the average gas price from Rs 692,93 to Rs 1,360 per million tons per day.
Sui Southern has asked for an increase in the average gas price of Rs 667,44 from July 1 of this fiscal year to Rs 1,360 per mmbtu from Rs 692,93 per unit.
A spokesman for Ogra says all stakeholders, including the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Textile Processing Plant, were invited to a public hearing held in Karachi.
According to a spokesperson, Sui Southern’s application showed a deficit of Rs 184 billion 88 crore in the current financial year, including a deficit of Rs 33 billion 78 crore in the previous financial year.
