Govt cancels PEMRA ban order on Imran Khan’s speech – Daily Asas News ThePipaNews

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has banned broadcasting of Imran Khan’s speeches and press conferences, which the government has exercised its power to cancel. The PTI has issued a notification banning the exhibition of the chairman’s speeches and press conferences. The notification clarified that Imran Khan’s recorded speeches and press conferences cannot be aired, a ban followed by all TV channels. Obey orders. The PEMRA notice said that during the Long March, Imran Khan made baseless allegations against national institutions, Imran Khan’s speeches were aired on talk shows without editorial supervision, controversial and incriminating speeches against institutions were aired in public. There is danger of spreading hatred against it. PEMRA, Imran Khan’s speech and speech are banned under PEMRA Ordinance 2002.
