TACO Bell has announced that it is relying on fans to bring back a beloved menu item.
Fans and customers will have the opportunity to choose between two beloved menu items to determine which will return.
Taco Bell will bring back either the Double Decker Taco or the Enchirito before the end of 2022.
Starting September 27th, customers can select their preferred menu item on the Taco Bell app every day through October 6th.
Then, on October 7, the winning item will be announced.
It is unclear when the winning item will be added to the menu.
The Double Decker Taco and Enchirito are reportedly two of the most requested menu items, but neither is currently sold.
The taco has an outer layer of soft flour tortilla with beans, filled with a crispy beef taco, lettuce and cheddar cheese.
Originally a limited-time menu item, the Double Decker Taco was introduced in 1995.
It then returned in 2006 permanently, before being discontinued in 2019.

Enchirito has a soft flour tortilla with beef, beans and onions, but rolled up and covered in a red sauce and topped with cheddar cheese.
That item left Taco Bell’s menu in 2013 after being introduced in 1970.
Recently, Taco Bell brought back the fan favorite Mexican pizza after removing it from the menu in 2020.
The popular pizza item originally returned to Taco Bell in May, but it sold out quickly.
Now, as of earlier this month, Taco Bell has officially brought the item back for good after a two-year hiatus.
It comes with “seasoned beef and refried beans between two fried flour tortillas, topped with pizza sauce, three cheese blends and fresh diced tomatoes,” Taco Bell told The Sun.
Additionally, fans can customize and add sauces, including nacho cheese and guacamole for an additional cost.
In addition, there are vegetarian options, as beef can be replaced with beans or potatoes.
