You will probably know by now that Prime Minister Liz Truss has emerged from the Downing Street bunker to speak to various local BBC radio stations today.
And it’s fair to say that it didn’t go quite as well as she might have hoped. It was bad – very bad – on BBC Radio Stoke and BBC Radio Bristol.
But wait until you hear what she had to say when asked about fracking on BBC Radio Lancashire. That’s two minutes very well spent.

This. Is. Excruciating.
I think a case of a prime minister being hydraulically fractured… https://t.co/O4H25UTdtj

Not sure I’ve ever heard a less competent interview by a Prime Minister. Normally, the process selects some basic level of flow under pressure. https://t.co/F8tHsxIIZN

Fantastic work from Graham. Despite the government putting so much pressure on the BBC their local services are decimated, we still have great journalism like this every day. Truss sounds like a teenager who has won a competition to be PM, now realizing how bad she is. https://t.co/cgEphVSuP0

Oh my dear Christ. Someone probably lined up a bunch of local radio interviews for Truss because they thought she’d get an easy ride. No. https://t.co/61TRkon3we

Might as well choose a literal deer in headlights as the next PM. https://t.co/Xf0TEsSWPy

Mary Elizabeth Liz Truss is totally devastated by the issue of fracking in Lancashire. No wonder she was hiding. Incredibly bad interview. pic.twitter.com/kmaJvx67iT

Direct, informed, civil, penetrating questions to the most powerful in the land are vanishingly rare in the sweep of history. And all too rare in today’s world.
It is something to appreciate. https://t.co/khVnhWDvzt

Liz Truss being brutally owned by Radio Stoke over mortgage is incredible listening
AND EVEN MORE!
Radio Bristol didn’t take Liz Truss’s scripted nonsense for an answer and that’s magnificent
