PSO has sought a bailout package of Rs 600 billion from the government

Islamabad (92 News) – PSO has asked the government for a bailout package of Rs 600 billion. Supply to petrol pumps will be stopped if the petroleum suppliers are not paid.

Soi Southern, Soi Northern and PIAP have also become over 600 billion rupees in debt. PIA took fuel from PSO, used it, also sold air tickets but did not pay dues to PSO. Gas companies are also lagging behind. Companies keep getting monthly bills from customers but PSOs don’t care to pay.

Finance Ministry sources say the PSO has demanded a bailout package of Rs 600 billion from the government. If the petroleum supplier does not pay that amount, the position is taken that the supply to the petrol pumps of the country should be stopped. For the first time in the history of the country, three big companies have been buried under such a large amount of money.

The Ministry of Finance shared the details of the outstanding amount with 92News. With Rs 350 billion, Soi Northern is the biggest defaulter, power supply companies owe Rs 150 billion and there are price disputes worth Rs 10 billion. The balance is owed to Sui Southern and PIA.
