The Navi Mumbai Bribery Office has taken action against two officers who demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 to sign the internal quality audit report. Interestingly, one of these officers is on the verge of retirement and one is a retired official. The action has been taken against Superintending Engineer Prakash Mohile and retired Assistant Executive Engineer Sanjay Dekat working in CIDCO Panvel office. The complainant was a sub-contractor and Mohil’s signature was required on the internal quality audit report required for approval of payment for structural repair work done by him at CIDCO Nodal Office, Naveen Panvel. But the woman demanded a bribe of 15 thousand taka for this. In this regard, the complainant lodged a complaint with the Bribery Office on 15th.

After receiving the complaint, it was found that Mohile had asked the complainant to sign the internal quality audit report during the verification of bribery before the government panel on the 16th to discuss the bribe amount with Deket. On the 20th, during the bribery investigation before the official jury, the Bribery Office confirmed that Tyana Mahile had demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant in Decat. Accordingly, the bribery department laid a trap on Friday. Encouraged by this trap in Mohile, Dekate was caught red-handed at CIDCO office, Naveen Panvel around 4 pm while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the complainant.
