For the past few days, there has been panic among parents and students as rumors of child abduction gangs have spread. An incident that took place in Virar on Thursday afternoon added to this. Around one in the afternoon, a rickshaw stopped at Umbergothan, west of Vira. There were two women including one Isma in this rickshaw. He stops a passing schoolgirl and offers her chocolate. The girl, who was already terrified by the rumor of child abduction, became even more terrified and ran away. Panic spread in the area. A local person saw the incident and informed the police control room about the arrival of a gang of child abductors.
Realizing the seriousness of the incident, Police Commissioner Sadananda Dete directed Deputy Police Commissioner Prashant Waghunde to investigate. After a thorough investigation, the police found the rickshaw. Further investigation revealed that the incident was a rumour. A woman living in Birar Nagar in Birar died on September 13. On Thursday, his family went to Arnala to perform Dasakriya. This woman loved chocolate. He always gave gifts to children. So on the occasion of the mother’s memory, chocolates were distributed among her children. But real people think it’s a gang of child kidnappers and confusion ensues.
