New Delhi. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant quit the Congress on Monday and joined the BJP along with eight MLAs, Home Minister Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda (JP Nadda). However, the opposition Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) attacked Sawant for not getting time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto said, “Why did Sawant say such things when there was no scheduled meeting with the Prime Minister? Was it just for publicity or was their ‘high command’ avoiding them? Sawant should give an explanation.”
