ACTIVITIES rallied in a borough to get to the root of disappearing NHS dentists.

‘Toothless in Southampton’ calls for an NHS dentist for all.

About 15 campaigners gathered at Shirley Precinct on Tuesday where they spoke to shoppers and handed out leaflets.

The 68-year-old, from Totton, added: “The Government need to look at this and sort something out.

“The campaign is just to raise awareness at the moment.

“MPs say the NHS workforce is in crisis. They need more staff.

Research earlier this year revealed gaping holes in dental care across the country.

A BBC investigation found that nine out of ten NHS dental practices across the UK were not accepting new adult patients for treatment under the care.
