The M27 junction 9 will be closed due to roadworks ThePipaNews

PART of a Hampshire motorway will be closed this evening.

As part of the improvements in Whitley, Junction 9 of the M27 will be closed.

The work will run for three nights between 9pm and 5am and will see motorway closures under the Junction 9 roundabout, with a short diversion via the Junction 9 slip roads.

This is so that the work can be completed on the eastern bridge.

The bus stop on the opposite side of the Parkway roundabout will be moved temporarily so footpath work can be completed on Rookery Avenue.

On Monday 5 September there will be a closure of the eastern half of the M27 Junction 9 roundabout, including the westbound M27 off slip.

A signed diversion will be in place to allow workers to build footings for off-ramp signs and to unload and install a temporary vertical concrete barrier in lane 3 on the east overpass.
