In the last two years, the flower market did not rise as it was supposed to during the Corona period. Because of this, a lot of produced flowers have also been wasted.
Due to the corona epidemic, all the festivals have to be celebrated informally for the last two years. All religious places had to be closed during this period. The flower sellers are in trouble. Due to the closure of places of worship, the produce of the farmers has suffered huge losses. Also, the use of flower bouquets has also decreased due to the closure of events and gatherings. Therefore, along with the retail florists, the farmers who produce flowers also have to face financial crisis at this time.

This year the corona epidemic has subsided and the restrictions have also been relaxed. So this year also the mood of the festival is prevailing in the market. The markets of Thane are also decorated on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. Citizens have started crowding the market for shopping. A lot of flowers have arrived in Thane flower market this year. However, compared to last year, the price of flowers this year has increased by Tk 20 to Tk 30 per kg. Marigold, Shewanti and Ashtar flowers which were sold at Tk 180 to Tk 220 per kg last year are being sold at Tk 200 to Tk 250 this year. So Kapri Gonda which was sold at Tk 60 per kg is being sold at Tk 80 this year.
Flower arrangement for one and a half day Ganapati
It can be seen that many people tend to decorate the one and a half day Ganapati with real flowers. So there is a huge demand for Chhafa, Daisy, Gulab, Jaswand, Mogra flowers in the market. This year, 50 chafas are being sold in the market at Tk 200, a bunch of daisies at Tk 100 and roses at Tk 320 per kg.
