Citizens have thronged for shopping on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. Citizens thronged Jamblinaka, Sthak area, Gokhale Road, Naupada in Thane to buy decorations and items needed for the Ganarai decorations. Thane police were urging citizens to avoid the crowd through gestures. Due to crowding in the market, massive traffic jams were created in Courtnaka, Jamblinaka, Talawapli, GPO areas. Due to this, citizens going to the station area for work in the morning have to suffer. The traffic jam continued after 1 pm.

Restrictions were imposed last two years due to Corona. So for the last two years there was an unpleasant atmosphere in the market during Ganeshotsav. Currently, the outbreak of Corona is fading and the number of patients is also decreasing. Therefore, the state government has lifted the ban on corona during the festival. Therefore, there is a lively atmosphere in the market this year as well. Various decorations, decorations, arches have come in the market for the decoration of public gatherings. So citizens from Ghorbandar, Wagle Estate and different parts of the city started thronging Jamblinaka, Station area, Gokhale Road market for shopping. Traders also felt comfortable as citizens flocked to buy. Police were also urging citizens to avoid the crowd to avoid a stampede in the crowd. Amid this crowd in the market, some citizens parked their two-wheelers near the market. As the walk was obstructed, so was the crowd. In view of security, the police was requesting the vehicles traveling towards Thane railway station to pass through Tembinaka, Tavernaka. Because of this, severe traffic jams are created on this road in Talawapli, Courtnaka, Temvinaka, Jamblinaka, GPO areas. It used to take drivers about 25 minutes to cover a distance of 10 minutes. So many could not reach the workplace on time.
