The Sindh High Court will hear tomorrow (Tuesday) whether the plea of Nisar Ahmed, former member of the Sindh Parishad, regarding the lifting of the ban on the MQM founder, is acceptable or not.
In the Sindh High Court, former Sindh Assembly member Nisar Ahmed Panhur filed a petition to lift the ban on the founder MQM.
As per the list of cases issued by Sindh High Court, Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh and Justice Yusuf Ali Saeed will hear the petition.
The petition said that the founder of MQM was a patriotic Pakistani, who also ran a welfare organization, which helped lakhs of widows, orphans and the poor.
The petitioner said the ban on the MQM founder was violative of Articles 4, 17, 19 and 25 of the Constitution. He contacted the concerned authorities to remove the ban, but no action was taken.
In his request, Nisar Ahmad Panhur said that the founder MQM should be allowed to carry out political and welfare activities in the country, lifting the restrictions imposed on the founder MQM.
Federal Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Information and PEMRA have been impleaded in the petition.
