Pakistan’s threat of economic bankruptcy is over, says Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s risk of economic bankruptcy is over.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that by reviving the IMF program, he had won a difficult economic test by taking tough decisions. Restoration of the IMF program will bring economic stability to the country.

Shahbaz Sharif said the restoration of the IMF program is a positive development for Pakistan’s economy. He said the IMF program is only a step and Pakistan’s goal is economic independence.

The Prime Minister said, there is hope that the Non-League government will once again bid farewell to the IMF.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said in a tweet that Pakistan will now receive the seventh and eighth installments of $1.7 billion.

He thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for taking such a tough decision and saving Pakistan from default.

In a tweet, he also appreciated the excellent efforts of Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and his team and the hard work of other shareholders.

Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the terms agreed with the IMF would be implemented in due course, with economic matters between the federation and the provinces under control.
