Islamabad: (Web Desk) Pakistan and United Nations have appealed to the international community to help the flood victims.
According to details, a program was organized at the Foreign Office for emergency relief to the flood victims of Pakistan. Chairman NDMNA Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz gave a thorough briefing on the flood disaster.
Speaking at the event, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan needs the help of the international community as the floods have caused irreparable damage to houses, crops and livestock.
On this occasion, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, in his message, urged the UN to provide immediate assistance to Pakistan and UN Resident Coordinator Julian Harness said the international community should express solidarity with Pakistan.
Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that as Pakistan is facing dire effects of climate change, it is hoped that the international community will come forward to help Pakistan.
