German council announces major food relief project for flood victims

KARACHI: German Consulate will provide free food for two months to 1000 families of Lasbela district of Balochistan.

According to details, the German Consulate announced an emergency food relief scheme to help the flood victims, for which the German Consul General and CEO BRSP signed a memorandum of understanding.

One thousand families of Lasbela district will be given free food for two months under the emergency food relief scheme.

German Consul General Holger Ziegler said flood victims need immediate nutrition, and the program will help flood-affected families.

He said, once the food needs are met, the victims can focus on other matters. My heart beats for the people of Sindh and Balochistan.

The German Consul General said, “My wife and I are with the people of Sindh and Balochistan in this difficult time.”

He added, “My wife and I also visited the residence of Quaid-e-Azam in Ziarat, which has a place in our hearts.”

On this occasion, CEO Balochistan Rural Project Dr. Shah Nawaz thanked the Consul General. He said that the government and welfare organizations are in dire need of foreign aid to deal with the flood disaster.
