India will have more than 45 data centers with an IT capacity of 13 million square feet and 1,015 MW by 2025 due to growing demand. This information was given in a report on Tuesday. According to the Anarock-Bingswanger report, by the end of 2025, the country will have 183 data centers with 24 million square feet and 1,752 MW of total IT capacity.

In terms of IT capacity (about 1,015 MW), over 69 percent of the new supply will come from Mumbai and Chennai alone, with 51 percent in Mumbai alone. Currently, there are 138 data centers spread over 11 million square feet and 737 MW of IT capacity (building ready) across the country. At least 57 percent of the existing IT capacity is in Mumbai and Chennai.
