- Bathing accident
warehouses, on Monday evening, three youths drowned when they went down to bathe in a hole created by Murum digging near Atri village in Pawani taluk of Bhandara district. The police of Adial police station started a search operation at the spot. The bodies of three youths were recovered by search operation in the light of tractor and LED lights till 8:15 pm.
The deceased have been identified as Sanket Bal Rangari, Sahil Naresh Ramteke and Pranay Yogiraj Meshram. Sanket and Pranay Kondhar were Class 11 students of Arun Motghar Junior College. The age of the three is said to be between 16 and 20 years. Three friends went out for a walk today around 3 pm. As he did not return home till evening, his family started searching and found his bicycle near a pothole on the road from Atri to Fanoli around 6 pm. When clothes and slippers are found in the vicinity, the police is informed.
According to sources, rainwater accumulates in deep pits left by digging mud and soil in Hagro Digho land outside the village. All three went down to bathe in this water. Not knowing the depth of the pit, all three fell into the pit.
The police of Adayal police station reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. Thanadar Sudhir conducted a search operation in Borkut with the help of villagers using tractors and LED lights. Finally, at 8:30 pm, fishermen recovered the bodies of three young men by diving. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after the body of the young man who played with three hands was found. Sub Inspector Hemraj Sorte, Police Patil Devdas Doke, Sangeet Sailokar, Bhimrao Lonare, Virli Panchayat Samiti Member Pramod Mendhe, Talathi Kumbhare, Sandeep Navarkhe were present on the occasion.
