Jamkhed, Leader News Service: For Ganeshotsav, which runs for two days, Jamkhed Municipality is blocking and charging Rs. Pandurang Bhosle, taluk head of Shiv Pratisthan Hindusthan, issued a statement to Tehsildar Yogesh Chandra to stop financial looting of Ganesh mandals.
It is the responsibility of the municipality to conduct all festivals, festivals and yatras within the municipal limits and to make all arrangements for the same, the statement said. All these arrangements need to be made without taking any tax for the municipality. Peace committee meetings are held from time to time for this plan. But the headmasters are arbitrarily managing and harassing the people by accepting any orders. Even after making a statement and fasting in this regard, no action was taken against them. So common people have to suffer.
Ever since the Gram Panchayats, as well as the Nagar Parishads came into existence, no deposit or any receipt or tax has been levied during Ganeshotsavam. Tax is being collected from Ganesh Mandals this year on the request of the Chief Executive. It has been demanded to stop it immediately.
Continual absence of principal from meetings
The headmaster deliberately absented himself from the government peace committee meeting organized for the Yatra-Utsav. Shiv Pratishthan Hindusthan has demanded action against the chief executive for this misconduct.
