Hunter Biden files lawsuit against Fox News for releasing revealing images and videos of him

Hunter Biden Sues Fox News Over Publication of Nude Photos and Videos in Mock Trial Show

The son of U.S. President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, has filed a lawsuit against conservative news outlet Fox News for publishing nude photos and videos of him in a fictionalized “mock trial” show centered around his foreign business dealings. Hunter Biden alleges that Fox violated New York state’s revenge porn law by sharing intimate images without his consent and is also suing for unjust enrichment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The show, titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden: A Mock Trial for the American People,” aired on Fox Nation but was later taken down after Biden’s attorneys threatened legal action. Fox News defended its coverage of Hunter Biden, stating that it was accurate and protected by the First Amendment.

In response to the lawsuit, Fox News called it “entirely politically motivated” and devoid of merit, noting that they removed the program out of caution. Hunter Biden’s lawyers have not yet responded to requests for comment.

The series depicted a fictional trial of Hunter Biden on illegal foreign lobbying and bribery charges, crimes he has not been indicted for. Hunter Biden was convicted on federal gun charges in June and is facing a trial for alleged tax crimes in September.

Biden claims that the show distorted the truth and purposely manipulated facts to entertain viewers. He alleges that the photos and videos of him in the nude and engaged in sex acts were obtained through hacking or theft and were published by Fox for entertainment purposes. Despite the show being taken down, promotional reels and clips remain accessible on third-party streaming platforms, according to the lawsuit.

Hunter Biden asserts that the show has caused irreparable damage to his reputation and has led to severe emotional distress, humiliation, and mental anguish. He is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages as a result of the publication of the intimate images.

In addition to the lawsuit against Fox News, Hunter Biden has also been convicted of federal gun charges and is set to stand trial for alleged tax crimes in California. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and his lawyers have stated that he plans to appeal the conviction.
