The Keys to the White House Favor Kamala Harris in 2024, Prediction Yet to be Made

In a hypothetical 2024 matchup between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump, the “Keys to the White House” are currently favoring Harris, according to election forecaster Allan Lichtman. Lichtman, who has correctly predicted nearly every presidential race since 1984, uses a formula consisting of 13 true or false questions to make his predictions.

At the start of the cycle, Democrats were given one automatic key for President Biden’s incumbency. However, the prediction has since shifted, with Democrats currently holding six keys compared to Republicans’ three. Notably, the remaining keys include factors such as a potential third-party candidate, social unrest, and foreign military outcomes.

Lichtman believes that “a lot would have to go wrong for Harris to lose” in the 2024 race. With a track record of accurately predicting past elections, including Trump’s win in 2016 and Biden’s victory in 2020, Lichtman will make his final prediction for the 2024 race after the Democratic National Convention in August.
