Global Eats: Indianapolis Monthly Hosts International Food Festival
Indianapolis is gearing up for a culinary journey around the world with the first-ever Global Eats food event. Hosted by Indianapolis Monthly, this mini-food festival will take place at West Fork Whiskey’s Westfield Distillery, offering attendees a chance to savor flavors from 9 different cultures.
The event, inspired by the publication’s July issue dedicated to international dining options in Indy, aims to highlight local restaurants that have deep-rooted family recipes and have evolved into beloved dining establishments. Abby Broderick, a representative from Indianapolis Monthly, expressed excitement about showcasing these hidden culinary gems to the public.
Apart from the diverse food offerings, Global Eats will also feature live music and a photo booth to immerse attendees in a worldly experience. Guests will have the opportunity to taste various bites from participating restaurants and vote for their favorite at the end of the night.
From Italian and Indian to Mexican and Asian cuisines, including fusion dishes, Global Eats promises a tantalizing experience for food enthusiasts. One standout participant, SALAMAT Cookies, will be serving up Filipino-inspired baked goods, adding a unique twist to the culinary lineup.
In addition to supporting local businesses, Global Eats will also contribute to a good cause by donating a portion of the proceeds to Second Helpings, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating food insecurity in Indianapolis.
Tickets for this mouthwatering event start at $50, with VIP admission starting at 5 p.m. and regular admission opening at 6 p.m. on Monday. Don’t miss this opportunity to embark on a global gastronomic adventure without leaving central Indiana!
